One way of getting traffic to your site is by commenting on other people’s blog. By commenting, I mean that you should add relevant comment to the blog. If you add relevant comment on the blog, there is a possibility that at least the blog owner and someone else would click on your link to your blog. I endeavor to comment on blogs that I read, but I don’t comment on some of them. The reason I don’t comment on your blog include
1. Familiarity Issues
I cannot comment on a post that I have a little knowledge about. I blog about tech news, tricks and tips with blogging tips. Any topic not related to this topic is difficult for me to comment. For instance, I cannot comment on a poem post.
2. Registration is required
I find new blogs every day. As I am reading if I see registration is required to comment, I don’t hesitate to leave your blog. I feel registration is good for private post. This goes to some BlogSpot bloggers. They require you to have a Gmail account to comment on their blog.
3. Different Language
I cannot comment because I don’t understand what you wrote.
4. A Google ADS Post
This is not common. I once saw a first post to be a Google adsense ad. Once I saw that, I said to myself, what does this person wants me to comment on. Does he want me to write “Nice Ad”??
5. Disabled Comment
It wasn’t me. It is the choice of the owner of the blog. The owner doesn’t want any comment.
6. Twitter Post
Don’t post your twitter conversion. Replying to a twitter conversation should happen in twitter and not on your blog.
7. The Post is Old
I feel that it is too late to comment.
8. Too Much Comments
If the comments are a lot, your comment goes unnoticed. If you observe there is a certain amount of comments the most blog owners stop responding to comments.
9. Valueless Comments
I have seen this post on other blog. I will not write “I have seen this post already”.
10. Entrecard Powerdropper
I drop more than 50 entrecard a day. My blog needs exposure. It takes me more than 30 mins to drop 50 entrecard. As I am doing my entrecard powerdropping, I just hop from one blog to another blog.

In someway a agree with you, but sometimes is not so simple.
For example: I can’t expect people comment for me just when they really understand about the subject. My blog is about researches concerning Computer Graphics and very few people have real knowledge about that. If I refuse dummy commenters, it should be hard for me interact to people.
Sometimes you can just wait some feedback about your results/images or some subjective opinion.
I believe most of non destructive comments should be always welcome, even if they are not so “smart”.

The more you educate the readers the likely hood you will receive a comment
Nice list. However, I just want to add something to number 2. As I mentioned on one of my older posts entitled - How to Make Your Readers Post a Comment, it annoys readers when potential commentators need to solve mathematical equations just to post a comment.
I cannot understand that as we can moderate comments, right?
I am glad you are not one of them though.
