Digg is a social site that enables people to submit and share websites’ story. You can get a lot of traffic if you can use digg to your advantage. To effectively use digg, you are required to join the community. After joining, you can submit your story to them. You can share story on digg by sharing it with your friends in the community. You can also invite your friends from your email to join digg to share your website’s story with their friends. After reading the story, you can digg the story by clicking the yellow icon that says “digg”. When click it, it becomes dugg meaning you read the story.

There are two ways of getting traffic. It can be direct or indirect.

Direct

The Direct way of getting traffic is to add a lot of people to your friends list. To add anybody as your friend, click on the profile picture. It would to the profile, then click on add friend button on the top right. After adding them as friend, you send them a shout out to digg your story. If you are lucky, they can digg you story and send out your story to their friends as a shout out. Add like 20 friends daily. The trick with this is that the more friends you have, the more people would read your story and digg it. Don’t add too many friends per day or risk being ban.

Indirect

The Indirect way of getting traffic is like spamming. You will spam a website with a link to your site. Look for a popular story on the internet. Read the story. If you know you see a deficiency in the story, write a post about the story with the original story deficiency. You can also read the comments to see the type of questions commenters are asking that are not in the original story. Then go to the original story website and make a comment. Make a comment that is constructive. You can say something like you can read more about the story at your site. You will then post a link to the story you wrote about on your site. If people digg the story and read it, they would also be curious about what you wrote on your website and they would visit it.

Do you have any other suggestion ? Leave a comment.

I’ve tried similar tactics but haven’t had much success yet. Now, mainly I beg and plead for people to come to my blog and digg my main page. Don’t even bother with the individual stories. Just come and digg my main page.

Its best if you you have individual post submitted to digg. Submitting your main page is useless.

It is better if you stumble your main page instead of submitting your main page to digg.

You can to ask your readers to digg your articles, if they like your posts and your blog they will be digg your pages, but i think that if your post is not interesting it doesn’t metter if someone digg it for you, when your post is quality and interesting for reader he digg it and many other people digg your post.

So these are what you want:
1. Quality Content.
2. Encourage your readers to digg.

before asking your reader to digg the article, it would be good if you submit the article to digg first.

I think people have the tendency to read the post first before submitting to any social networks.

I did not know that it would be good to submit the article first. I’m wondering why.

I haven’t started this Digg-in’ yet. Maybe I don’t really know what really works with Digg.
