Widgets can be either a service or an applet. If it is an applet, it means it is a desktop widget. If it s service, it means it is a piece of code, you would install on your site. Widgets have many function such as news aggregators, clock, game puzzle and your website visitors. For instance, I have a blogcatalog widget on this blog.

If you want to install a widget on your desktop, you have need to download a file extension widget before the widget would work on your desktop. For instance, you can get widgets from Yahoo widgets. To get the widgets to work on yor desktop, you would need to download the file extension widget. Without this, Windows would not recognize the widget.

If you are not sure if you have the widget extension installed on your pc, you can do a registry scan. If it is not installed, then you would have to download the file extension widget, so that the widget would work on your computer. You can then use the widget for what you indeed to do with it, either to look at the weather or news aggregators

There was a scare of the conficker worm on April 1st. The scare was that the worm has infected a lot of computers and is lying low. On the 1st of April, it would receive new instructions to do something. Nobody knew what it would, but it was believed to do something. The virus affects only Windows systems. Mac and Linux users are free. This is one reason why not to use Microsoft Windows (I am still using Vista).

At the time of this post, I haven’t heard of any computer affected by the conficker worm. They worm has been known to computer experts since November of 2008, because when I did a search on google for Symantec conficker virus remover, I was seeing a removal that was present since November 2008.

If you want to know if you are affected by the conficker virus, try going to www.microsoft.com, www.symantec.com or www.mcafee.com. If you cannot visit these sites, then you have a virus on your computer system. It doesn’t really have to be the conficker virus. It can be another virus.

To remove the Conficker worm, you can download and use Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT). This is to remove malicious software from your pc.

I hope this virus was just an april fool’s joke.

File extension 3gp is the format in which cellphones multimedia is stored as on the phone. The extension name, .3gp means that the phone is a third generation cellphone. This means that some second and fourth generation cellphones can play the file. Cellphones multimedia is stored in the extension 3gp because it don’t use a lot of bandwidth and storage requirement.
